SECTOR SCHEME 12B LEAD TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT OPERATIVE (LTMO)

Two Days

Objectives

At the end of the course the candidate should be able to:

o Understand the requirements of the Sector Scheme relating to traffic management.

o Understand Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

o Understand basic Health & Safety legislation and their responsibilities.

o Understand and be aware of referenced documentation within the industry.

o Understand the significance of TSRGD.

o Be able to plan, design and run traffic management schemes and calculate equipment requirements

o Understand the role of a LTMO and their responsibilities and be aware of how to deal with the client, police and public.

Examinations

A written paper with a pass mark of 75% being required.

Targeted group

This course has been designed for companies within the industry to appoint a person to design and control B Type closures on high-speed roads.

Pre course requirements

Qualified 12B Operatives, an allowance is made for unqualified candidates provided they have passed the 12a/b one day operative course.
